Stadium Announcer Andy Taylor returned to New York in August 2019 to narrate the action inside Arthur Ashe Stadium. He reached the Finals in Washington D.C. and Montreal, then captured his first Masters-1000 title in Cincinnati. Down 2-sets and a break in Sunday’s championship match, implausibly he came back to force a deciding-set against one of the most tenacious finishers in tennis history. 2019’s championship match was the longest of the tournament, and just 5-minutes short of the longest US Open championship match in history.

In Doubles, 23-year-old Elise Mertens and 21-year-old Aryna Sabalenka both earned their first Grand Slam titles – while the Columbians, Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah made it back-to-back Majors. The Wimbledon Champions reached their first Grand Slam Final earlier this year at the Australian Open, and will finish the season as 3-time Major Finalists and 2-time Grand Slam Champions.
Finally in Mixed Doubles, Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Jamie Murray became the first tandem to successfully defend the Mixed Doubles title in nearly 40-years. Bethanie is now a 4-time Grand Slam Mixed Champion – while Jamie Murray became the first player in the Open Era to win 3 consescutive Mixed US Open titles. Remarkably, the Scot is now a 5-time Grand Slam Mixed Doubles Champion.
