[6] Novak Djokovic -06- (SRB) def [26] Richard Gasquet -25- (FRA) | 62 63 63
So, Richard Gasquet saved two match-points on Saturday night. That was exciting. But, Novak delivered the goods on match point #3, breaking the Frenchman for a 5th-time – his 12th break-opportunity overall.
Saturday’s nightcap was all Djokovic. He’s hungry for a third title. After two grueling battles in this year’s intense humidity (Fucsovics in Round-1 | Sandgren in Round-2), tonight’s efficient thumping was more than welcome for the 2-time US Open Champion (2011 | 2015).
