Steve Katsos is a presence. His bent for self-deprecation reveals an endearing awkwardness smothered with compassion. He is a champion…of other people: their talent, their gift, their voice. Steve will tell you he’s just a regular guy – a hard-working union audio specialist in sports television; but on Tuesday nights, his creation The Steve Katsos Show reaches millions of homes in 16 countries around the world. That’s hardly regular.

According to host Jeff Houghton, The Mystery Hour is cool, but not too cool. A dynamic and innovative late night talk show featuring fascinating guests, incredible musical guests, and hilarious comedy sketches, The Mystery Hour is based in Springfield, Missouri. The show began at The Skinny Improv Comedy Theatre and grew through grassroots and word of mouth efforts to become a unique success. Andy Taylor made his second guest appearance in April of 2014.

In my first year as Voice of the Qatar ExxonMobil Open in Doha, Charlotte Gabas and Nicolas DeJean of Bein Sports France approached me about doing an interview around, well…whatever it is that I do. Honestly, as you can tell by the footage chosen for the segment, they were mostly entertained by the loose, offbeat style and behavior that typifies my existence on this planet. Hey listen – if you’re not having fun at what you do, what’s the point in even doing it?

Shortly after the invasion of Iraq in March of 2003, I teamed-up with KTTS Morning Show listeners to send local soldiers simple gifts from home; small tokens of appreciation to demonstrate our thanks for their willingness to serve. Originally, we thought simple shoeboxes would serve our shipping needs. We couldn’t have been more wrong. The outpouring of support was mind-blowing.
