“The Price is Right, Live!” – Back in Branson for 2013

While The Price is Right, Live! touring show continues to crisscross the U.S. and Canada, there’s great news for Ozarks locals and Branson vacationers – the show is returning to the Welk Resort Theater in 2013. In fact, there are seven special Spring Break performances in March.

The Price is Right Live - 723 ways to say "Come on Down!"I had an absolute blast as the show’s announcer last year, and I look forward to working with the amazing crew and cast of hosts this year. It really is a fun night, whether you’re with a big group, enjoying date-night, or spending time with the kids. The Welk Team works hard to make sure you have a memorable experience; and let’s be honest – in a room full of crazed Price is Right fans looking for a good time, it’s hard NOT to have a few laughs.

So you’re wondering, how does a televised game-show translate to the “stage?” Easy. I know you’ve seen the show on television. The stage show is no different…with one major exception: We don’t have to stop for commercial breaks! It’s 90-plus minutes of “Come on Downs,” your favorite Price is Right Games, winners and losers, amazing “Bob Barker Moments” and tons of fun interaction with the audience.

This is how the show is described on the Welk Resort Theater’s website:

Starting with select dates in March 2013 Branson audiences can be a part of the live stage show: more than 50 audience members have a chance to win prizes like cash, appliances and even a new car, by playing the same games that made the television show such a success.

The Price Is Right, Live! follows virtually the same format as the TV show: all audience members can preregister to participate and are then called to, “Come on down!’. The contestant who wins the initial one-bid is then given a chance to win more prizes by playing one of the iconic and popular games such as Plinko, Cliffhanger, Punch-A-Bunch, The Big Wheel and the Showcase Showdown, to name just a few.

Keep in mind: If you expect prizes and cash-values seen daily on CBS by a nationally televised audience, it is probably best that you continue saving for your ‘bucket-list trip’ to LA. That’s not to say with “The Price is Right, Live!” you won’t win cash and prizes; just adjust your expectations and knock-off a zero or two from those inflated values in your head…

Sincerely, it’s a fun way to spend a night out. Come see us this year at the Welk Resort Theater. Win kinda big…with The Price is Right, Live!
