Voice Over: 2019 Major League Lacrosse All-Star Game
Somerville Voice Artist Andy Taylor narrates this promo for the 2019 Major League Lacrosse All-Star Game. Written and produced by Moody Street TV, the 3-minute video aired during Halftime of the MLL games leading-up to the All-Star Game.
The Promo: MLL All-Star Game 2019 | Annapolis, Maryland
The 2019 Major League Lacrosse All-Star game will take place in Annapolis, home of the Chesapeake Bayhawks.
The Captains
And there is probably no greater star in the game right now than the Bayhawks own Lyle Thompson. Thompson is having a historic season and is on pace to shatter MLL season records in both goals and total points. He will captain one team.
The other captain, Rob Pannell of the New York Lizards, will be making his 7th straight all-star appearance. Last year’s MVP is putting up big numbers again this season. Pannell currently has 13 goals and 15 assists. Many of those assists have come on goals by teammate Dylan Molloy.
On Attack
Molloy, the former Brown University star has 15 goals this season and will be joining Pannell on attack.
Also taking center stage in Annapolis, the now all-time leading scorer in MLL history, Denver’s John Grant Jr. At age 44, Grant came out of retirement this season to join the Outlaws, and doesn’t appear to have lost a step.
Bryce Wasserman of the Dallas Rattlers has had quite a busy 2019. The Texas native got his MBA degree this past spring, and so far this summer has scored 10 goals for the Rattlers. He’ll be attending law school at Miami in the fall.
Midfield
At the midfield position, the Bayhawks Nick Mariano will be playing on his home turf. The former Syracuse All-American has 10 goals so far this season.
Also selected to the summer showcase, Denver’s Zach Currier. The high-scoring midfielder and structural engineer is one of the big reasons the Outlaws are currently in first place.
Face-Off
At the face-off position, two of the best in the world will be on hand, including the number one overall pick in this year’s draft, Alex Woodall of the Atlanta Blaze.
Woodall will be opposed by the league leader in face-off percentage, Max Adler of the Denver Outlaws. The former Bentley University standout has 45 ground balls this season.
The Goalies
Let’s not forget the goalies. Atlanta’s Chris Madalon has been the best in the league so far. The former UNC Tar heel already has 122 saves in 8 games. He will be making his first All-Star appearance.
As will Nick Marrocco of the Boston Cannons. From Duxbury, MA, Marrocco has also written on book on lacrosse. He is one of 8 Cannons selected for this years game.
Those are just some of the stars who will be in Annapolis.
It’s the best of the best, the Major League Lacrosse 2019 All-Star game!
