Voice Over. Daily Highlights from the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta
In March of 2019, voice actor Andy Taylor provided voice over for highlight videos that recapped each day of sailing at the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta. The videos, produced by Dutch production company On Air Media & Entertainment, were uploaded to the event’s Facebook, Instagram and YouTube pages.
Because the reads are time-sensitive, these productions require that Andy be available in his voice over booth at very specific times. As a result, once a script is received, he immediately cuts several versions of the narration, giving producers different options for their video edit. The audio is then uploaded to a shared Dropbox folder – where producers download the files, import into their production sessions, and mix the finished video.
Depending on the length of copy, the entire process can take anywhere from 20-minutes to an hour. Sensitive to each content-pusher’s deadline in daily highlight packages, Andy has the gear and experience to deliver top-shelf narration in a tight turn-around.

Sponsored by Heineken, the annual Regatta features nightly parties for the sailors, vacationers and locals. Throughout the years, performers have included the Black Eyed Peas, Akon, Wyclef Jean, Shaggy, The Commodores and more.
For the first time, 2019’s event included four full days of racing, along with four full nights of partying. It all culminated with a performance from the Jacksons following the final awards presentations.
The On Air Media team was on hand for the entire weekend, documenting the action on the water and the nightlife on shore. Gaining eye-popping content for both the St. Maarten Regatta and title sponsor Heineken.
