Japan Festival Boston. Sunday, April 29. 11am – 6pm

Don’t miss Japan Festival Boston 2018 on Boston Common April 29th, bringing real Japanese culture and cuisine to the United States. Best of all, admission is free!

In 2016, this outdoor “Matsuri” saw 60,000 visitors enjoy over 100 cultural booths, exquisite Japanese food, and musical performances from local and Japanese entertainers.

The voice over for the video above is designed to encourage sponsor/vendor participation. Boston Common’s “Matsuri” opened in 2012 with 10,000 attendees. By 2016, that number ballooned to 60,000, making Japan Festival Boston one the highest-attended cultural events on the East Coast. Many travel from across the country or around the world to enjoy an afternoon of Japanese culture in downtown Boston. As a result, vendors can always expect a diverse and enthusiastic audience for their products and services.

Japan Festival Boston’s Mission

Every year, over 200 volunteers make Japan Festival Boston possible. Their mission? Bring tangible Japanese culture to America. They want the next generation to experience Japan’s rich cultural traditions, and in turn, bring communities together through a shared love of Japanese culture. Through fellowship and fun, the goal is to make sure Japan Festival Boston enlivens the Boston community for the next 100 years, and beyond.

Fun for the entire family

This year, don’t miss the prime-time festival attractions Cosplay Death Match and Cosplay Fashion Show. The main stage will also feature both traditional and modern Japanese cultural, performances from local Boston artists and international touring acts. With over 100 vendor booths, there’s something for everyone. Not to mention, the authentic Japanese cuisine is tremendous.
