Fed Cup Champions. Team USA starts 2018 at home

Just two days before Andy produced the commercial, the US Fed Cup Team defeated Belarus in Minsk to win the Fed Cup title for the first time since 2000. Coco Vandeweghe carried the team in the Final. She won both of her singles rubbers, then clinched the title in doubles with partner Shelby Rogers.

Vandeweghe was also the MVP during the 2017 Semifinal in Tampa, keeping Team USA on the board in singles, only to clinch the Tie in doubles. Because it was a home-based Tie in Florida, Andy Taylor traveled to Saddlebrook Resort to announce and emcee the event on-site.

Fed Cup Tennis. Where it all began

Andy Taylor announced his first Fed Cup Tie in 2002, when Fed Cup Captain Billie Jean King brought Lindsay Davenport, Monica Seles and Team USA to Springfield, Missouri to face Israel. Shortly after Team USA’s victory, Andy was asked to audition for the role of lead announcer at the US Open in New York. Later that August, his journey as the “Voice of the US Open” began.
